Movement pattern Vertical pull
The vertical pull movement pattern involves the activation and coordinated movement of muscles to perform a pulling action vertically towards the body or overhead. This pattern primarily engages the muscles responsible for scapular depression and downward rotation, as well as the muscles involved in elbow flexion. The vertical pull movement pattern involves the concentric and eccentric contraction of muscles such as the latissimus dorsi, teres major, posterior deltoids, biceps brachii, brachialis, brachioradialis, and the muscles of the forearm. These muscles work together to depress and rotate the scapulae downward while flexing the elbows during the pulling action.
